Another take-away was, at 47, and I'm sure with major ridicule and discouragement from friends and family about how she couldn't succeed, she went for her dream anyway. You are never too old. I know part of the way he acts get people to watch the show, but he really makes me ill. I do not believe there was anything planned there at all and he was just shocked. Why do each of us seem to look to the outside of a person before really knowing them?????? I really have changed over my years and do not do that. In fact, I have wonderful parents, who taught me not to just look at the outside. I am a grandmother now and I try my best to teach my granchildren to get to know the person inside. If we only look at the outside, I guarantee you that we are missing out on wonderful friends and many other things people can give to us and we give back to them - not just looking good. In fact, I have been disappointed many times by thinking someone or something looks good and find they are not!! What a disappointment and who really wants to live their life that way. The really sad thing is that the ones that look good on the outside - really have such a short time in which to live that life == each of us will get older - get baggy, saggy skin and other people who have looked on the outside only will be disappointed. Have you ever noticed that a celebrity rarely is show in photos at a party or going out after a certain age? Also, one very beautiful lady that we all know and love will not let her photograph be taken with anyone or alone without the person or company wanting it paying for hours of work on her makeup = wigs and everything costing thousands of dollars---- just for a photograph so people will not see who she is on the outside now. How very sad that life must be and I am thankful I do not live that life. I am very proud of this woman and the way she just so shocked the “living daylights” out of Simon.
